Hello All...

Sorry for my very inconsistent posting lately. I've been very stressed, as I hear from schools on Friday. Eep! Although, today I get to have a girls day with some of my closest friends... walking down Rodeo, getting our hair and nails done, and then dinner. Perfect day.

Now, I felt I needed to iterate to all of you that there are different outfits for different occasions. You do not wear a onezie into Prada. It... I... just.... no.

Now, here is my guide on what to wear when you are going shopping with a bunch of girlfriends (This is based on my outfit today, as there are hundreds of adorable outfits, and I couldn't narrow it down.)

For Rodeo Chic:

  1. Skinny jeans (Black preferably), or really amy pair of pants. I've also noticed leather a lot on the streets of Bev Hills.
  2. A simple shirt. (As in: white, black, grey, sailor-stripes...)
  3. Either a pair of booties, or flats, or sandals. (I'm wearing sandals today)
  4. A Blazer.
  5. Your purse. (Make sure it goes with your theme. Hot pink and orange doesn't go. Snookie much?)
  6. Simple makeup.
    1. Now... Make sure when doing your makeup you don't put on too much blush or bronzer. Remember, if your face is 100x darker than your neck... it's obvious.

Love Always.

Here Comes the Bride... In 14 years.

Good Morning Dear Readers,

So, at the moment, I am sitting on a lovely couch, staring out at the cascading jasmine, through French Windows. It's an absolutely lovely day. But, aside from it being a lovely day, it is also my parent's 16th wedding anniversary. Hurray! Bravo! God Save the Queen! I mean, 16 years is a long time, and of course, there are bumps along the road, but to be able to spend it happily, is a blessing.

Anyway, their wedding anniversary had me thinking about weddings. I've heard that most girls have their weddings planned to the tee, very Bride Wars-esque, and I always thought that was completely and utterly ridiculous... until I planned mine. Okay, my wedding is going to be utterly fantastic, and my fiancee (Shia LeBoeuf, per chance?), is going to have absolutely no say in the matter. Oh, I'm only joking, he can choose whether or not he wants to say I do or not.

So, now I am going to tell you my idealistic plan for my wedding, which, will probably all fall apart and never happen, and I'll end up marrying a man from Kansas and having my wedding in a barn. Not that there's wrong with that... it's just not New York... or the Plaza.

Of course, the dress is the most important part! Kate Middleton's bouquet, Blair Waldorf's dress (Don't judge me, c'mon, admit it, her dress was gorgeous), and the Her Serene Highness Grace Kelly's makeup. Perfectly simple.

Now, there are obviously loads more, but it's time for me to take a trip to brunch... When I come back I'll write all about Tacky vs. Classy. Avoir! Á tout à l'heure!

Love Always.

Orange n'est pas ok. Ever.

Good Afternoon Darlings.

Alright, so it's been one of those days. It was sunny until around 15 minutes ago when I decided to go outside, and of course the minute I went outside, the sky turned gray and the temperature dropped to 2 degrees, well maybe it was more like 65, but I assure you it felt like 2, and there is now a 90% chance I have frostbite. In Los Angeles. Oh, I'm only kidding. It's more like an 80% chance.

Anyway, the cold weather had me thinking all about how eager I am to jump into Spring. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely a winter kind of girl, but after a long winter, Spring is always refreshing. But, Spring doesn't only mean nice weather, and boys in swim trunks- no no. Spring also means that some of the world's highest ranking designers will be releasing their Spring/Summer collections into stores.

I have a feeling that this season is all about light. Don't be fooled by the billboards. I repeat, do not be fooled. As I drove down Sunset the other day, I was surprised to see that all of the haute-couture brands seem to be designing things in bright orange. How Ghastly.

Bright orange is a color to be avoided at all costs. It clashes with bloody everything. I assure you, unless you are very, very tan, or your name is Eva Longoria, you can not pull off bright orange. Well maybe that's an exaggeration, but you all get the point.

So, back to what I was saying. This season is all about light. Pastels? Yes Please! I mean, what is more stunning than mixing white, and a pastel? Precisely Nothing.

I've also noticed floral-english-country-sofa being a theme in loads of clothes being shipped to stores around the country. Just like these Current/Elliot boyfriend printed, low-rise denim shorts: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/193790

Now, I can't say I'm personally a fan of grandma-curtain clothing, but it would definitely look adorable if your style is urban/i-pretend-to-be-a-hippie.

Now, in conclusion. This Spring. Go pastel. Not orange.

Love Always.

Welcome to My World

Dear readers, welcome to my blog.

I never saw myself writing a blog, but today, as I sat reading a book called the 100 Ways Fashion Changed the World,  I became suddenly inspired. I was thinking about my fashion inspirations -Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Onassis- and I suddenly came to the realization that if they had written blogs, my life would be so simple. If they had written a step-by-step guide on how to live with the grace, and beauty that they exuded in every which way... I would be an absolutely perfect person. So, to my point, I have decided to write a blog. A Guide to Life for the Fashion Obsessed. Now, enjoy and welcome to my world.
